In this short course, we'll be using the same teaching methods that we use in our longer Overnight Qari Experience, breaking down the structure and patterns of maqam rast - visually - so that you can literally see the maqam, and you're not guessing how or what the tune should sound like.

You'll learn four key patterns that will help you unlock - and then stay - in the maqam. Using our practice audio clips, you'll be able to understand these patterns theoretically and then put them into practice. Once we learn these patterns on shorter phrases, we'll work on combining them into longer ayat and then across several ayat.

The end result? You're reciting in a beautiful, heartfelt tune.
